There are new virus's and worms every day out in the wild, and you need to be up to date to be fully protected
Your PC could be Dead in Seconds and totally BEYOND Repair. There are so many little tosspot spammers out there who have nothing better to do than mess up your system. Every day I receive viruses sent to my e-mail, and every time my AV software stops them. All GlowGadgets emails are scanned BEFORE they leave our PC. If you have received an infected e-mail, claiming to be from GlowGadgets.com It's not from us, we never send infected emails, nor do we ever send SPAM. What you need to do is get your PC Protected, because if you haven't, your PC is probably one of those that is passing on the virus.

People spend Thousands on new computer equipment, yet they try to save a little money by doing without Security software. Are they retarded?? One simple virus can ruin your PC and all your hard earned cash has been wasted, for the sake of a £30 /$50 program that would save you a lot of trouble. A Computer Virus is like any decease, no one thinks they will catch it until its TOO LATE. Protect Yourself, really, because if your not, everytime an e-mail arrives, you will be that much closer to getting zapped. That's my rant over with. I recommend Norton Antivirus (This is not an Advertisement, this is a PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT) find virus updates, repairs and fixes, and software @ the Symantec Website If you have'nt got a firewall (it stops hackers getting into your PC and doing bad things and you get the blame) then use Zone Alarm. It is the BEST Firewall there is and its totally free (There is a paid version " Zone Alarm Pro", so look for the free one. (Try the Sheilds Up Link, Probe my Ports and Test for Leaks. You will be VERY Surprised what can be found out about you and done to your PC by remote, and Steve is one of the Good Guys! Learn from him ;o) If you use Music download sites, Chat rooms, IRC, visit Adult sites, download programs without scanning them. Chances are high that your PC is Infected with SPYWARE. These are programs that are placed on your computer to SPY on your Browsing habits, where you go, what you see, who you talk to, what you buy, how long you stay on the site, personal identification etc. Some of these programs are call DIALERS, once on your PC if you use a phone line to Dial up, they will disconnect you from your Sevice and Connect you to their service. You won't notice much difference, until you get your Telephone bill. Then bang, you've got a HUGE bill. If you visit sites that have advertising by Claria or Gator (You know when you get that pop up window that says you can down load the free Cursor, Or make this your Homepage. Or Down load BonziBuddy, Yikes!). Then Pow, you have got your self a nasty program called TOPTEXT. What does it do? Well say you are visiting a site called "Joes Sausages" and you are enjoying looking at all these lovely Sausages and reading all about them and you think "Hey, I just fancy one of these sausages, I think I will click on this Yellow link and buy some" Hold On, that Yellow link is nothing to do with Joe! Oh no, what you got there is a Link to Joes Competition. Yep, they paid to have the word "Sausages" made as a link back to thier own site. Without you or poor Joe knowing anything about it. Which means that Joe loses your custom, when he did all the work showing you how great Sausages are. You get a product that is nothing like the one you wanted, and Joe goes out of business. Crap huh! Need more convincing? Have you got a website? Would you like your own site? What if someone owned the TOPTEXT link to your name, or your Hobby, or your Business. And when your visitors saw that link on your site, they used it and left you never to come back? How would you feel? Pretty bad huh! Well, you can get rid of these nasty SPYWARE programs, just visit www.lavasoft.de and download the free version of AD-AWARE, it will scan your PC and kill off all those nasty bugs. Another Great tool is Spybot Search & Destroy it is free and well recommended.You can also use X-BLOCK you will need to visit the FAQs page and scroll down the page till you find the FREE Version. Download, install, and clear your tracks. Another great site is ANALOGUE X they have loads of free programs to make life a little easier. Some are a little complicated, so only use what they recommend as easy.
