The Led Lenser P5 has an advantage over many other LED Flashlights.
The P5's Speed Focus allows this "Tactical" Torch to Zoom from a tight and far throwing beam, to a wide and pure Flood and easily and as quickly as pointing your finger.
Led Lenser has a very special collumated lens system, which enables the P5 to place more power in its Beam than any other torches I have in my possession.
Without a doubt, this torch has the ability to outshine, not only bigger and more expensive flashlights, but also torches that have CREE Q5 Leds that are bright and far throwing.
As such, the Led Lenser P5 is my Every Day Carry torch and has proved itself time and time again to be brighter and more reliable, both in battery runtime and output than any light I have had as an EDC before. Including any of the Fenix lights I used to favor. The P5 knocks them in to next week.
I have PVC tape around the tail end so I can hold the torch between my teeth when doing quick jobs and I have found this torch to be invaluble.
Since the early days of Led Lenser I championed the V Square, which at the time was the finest LED torch I had ever seen (I'd have a job to get that between my teeth, unless I was happy to lose a few!).
Now, in 2009, the latest offerings from Zweibrueder Optoelectronics of Germany have done it again.
The holster that is supplied with the Led Lenser P5 is made of a very tough, Ballistic Nylon and has a belt loop that would accomodate the larger belt on the Veritcal, while the holster also has smaller loops on the Horizontal that could be used for Paracord and the like.
The P5 comes in the usual Black gift box and I am sure there is a Test It pack available but I try to stay away from those as they are heavier to send and really for shops to put out on display.
