The LED LENSER P7 is High Power, Smooth Focus, Dual Output, Economical, Reliable, LED Torch. It uses 4 x AAA Batteries and Outshines so called Tactical lights that use Lithiums cells by such a margin that it's just silly.

Don't worry, most people don't know what Lumens are either. They know its a measurement of light, but they don't know what it means. It's like saying 180 Furlongs or 180 Leagues. We know it's a measurement, but what it MEANS escapes most of us. We just think the a higher number is better. It should be, but How was it measured, How accurate is the measurement. Fact is, when it comes to Flashlights, you need to See it with your own eyes. Otherwise its all Academic

The Colimator lens with the Smooth Focus system is MAGICAL. Turning 180 Lumens of Cree Goodness into something far more surreal. When the P7 is Focused to a tight beam, there is Hardly any sidespill, so it's amazing for chucking the light down a Field or Dark housing Estate. You will see what you are pointing at, as long as its not much further than at least a couple of hundred meters away.

Ah, but you need it for Close up work, that bright beam is going to create problems up close. The Adjust the Focus, one handed. BAMM! Its a perfect Circle of Light and if there are any dark spot, I ain't seen em. I've used this for doing the Bunny and Bird shadow puppets for my girls,( that's all I know, well OK, I can do a Dog, it looks a bit like an Alsatian crossed with a Terrier,thats me lot) , and so close up, the light output is Crisp and Defined. There are Two power outputs that make low lighting very useful, when not a lot of light is needed. I like this torch, a Lot. If (Big If, yes, bigger than the S and the BUT)...If I find a reason not to, I will let you know. OH, AND... Did I mention, the P7 uses 4 x AAA batteries?
