I had to write you a quick note about the Led Lenser P5 you sent me. Thanks for the fast delivery and great service - it was here in 2 days, and cheers for the Police discount, it was very much appreciated.

With regard to the torch itself all I can say is ........WOW! Clucking bell, this thing is bright! And what a beautiful beam, on wide or spot. I used to carry  rechargeable Inova T4 on night shifts, but this thing is it's equal, if not stronger. And on one AA battery.
You're right about the switch, they need to make 'em bigger for lads with big numb fingers like me. Apart from that, it's tremendous. Let me know if you want a better review to put on the website, I'll write one, no problem, as long as you don't use my name. I think lots of coppers will want these, although some might go for the P6 purely because being bigger, they won't be as easy to lose down the hole in the stab vest. If the P14 is as good as you say, I'm saving for one!

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with my new P2D Q5. I work as a Paramedic in London and I have up till now a carried a 3 D cell maglight, a AA mini maglight with an LED conversion and a AAA mini maglight, which are now all on the bench in the garage. The only thing I can’t do with the P2D is pupil responses as it will probably scar retinas! This little torch has already found a place on my belt.

I ordered the Fenix L1D from you on Monday evening (Bank Hols). The torch arrived today (Wednesday). I would like to thank you for such a fantastic & speedy service.

I just can not believe how good this torch is! To say I’m chuffed, is bit of an understatement. Comparing it side-by-side with my AA Mini Maglite torch, after the using the Fenix on just the medium setting, I have decided that it is time for my 20 year old Mini-Mag to R.I.P. Even using it alongside my 4 D-cell Maglite, the power of this torch is truly amazing and gives my D-Mag a run for it’s money! If the Fenix & Maglites were gun’s, the Mini-Mag would have a kick of a pea-shooter and the Fenix that of a canon. It is such a good bit of kit.

If someone asks me to recommend them a torch - the Fenix is it. If I then get asked where to get it - I’ll point them in your direction.

Hi Chris,
Fenix and Maglite upgrade package arrived today. I have to say I am amazed with both. Maglite has been lying around the bottom of my wardrobe for a long time. Give you an idea of how long, Duracells inside have a use before date of Jan 99, very dim light. Used the old batteries just to check polarity of LED unit. I could not believe how much light was generated by these shagged batteries.
Then I opened up the Fenix, nearly blinded myself when I switched that on. It’s over 50 feet to the bottom f my back garden, and I make out every branch.

The Fenix torches really do have an impressively powerful clean white beam and make all my other torches look silly. I can’t believe that a single AAA has the electrical pressure to make such a bright light possible in the L0D. They do some clever stuff these days. The L2D has a whiter beam than my Nightsearcher Panther (12v 50W xenon). I haven’t tested them side by side outside yet but I’ve got a feeling theres not going to be much difference. A little LED torch shouldn’t really be in the same league as a searchlamp. I’m so glad I came across your site. Thanks for the gifts also. The red lens and white diffuser complete the great feeling of owning one of the best torches around. And the safe candle is part of the Christmas decorations in my shop. Hi. I bought a Fenix L0D from you a few weeks ago. One of the guys at work is quite impressed with it and I said I’d order one for him. It seems to have disappeared from your site. Can you help?

Very happy with the torches by the way. The L0D is now my EDC, I cut up a mini-maglite belt pouch for it to live in, reckon it wont be carrying a maglite any time soon! The P3D was a bit of a surprise. My Scouts have given up trying to dazzle me with their torches. They lose, badly. I’ve been looking at the ’tactical’ torches over the past couple of years and they’ve always seemed overpriced for pretty poor burn times. The Maglites are good but haven’t kept up with technology, so I’m really impressed with both torches. I’m sort of hoping that Fenix start doing some head torches and I can replace my Petzl.

Have recieved the Fenix P3D CE Q5 Cree earlier this week. I can`t believe the size of the torch especially compared to its beam. Makes the night dog walk a whole new experiance, the first time i used it i caught two yellow eyes and turned up the beam to find a Badger and was able to watch it before it disapeared. Feels and looks quality and will be the only torch i need. Although not be the only one i will want as you said.Also, thanks for the diffuser that was a nice suprise, and for the your customer care.

Thanks very much for the swift dispatch of the Fenix L2D flashlight and the update communication for the slight delay.

This thing is as amazing as I’d expected it to be!

It’s like a little supernova in the palm of my hand - I’d been using a 3D cell maglite until now (upgraded with a mag-led) and whilst it’s a great torch in that it’s reliable and always there when needed, despite the abuse it’s received over the years, the Fenix is both brighter, has a better beam pattern and is astonishingly small and light to boot.

I now have some great Christmas present ideas that are sure to impress and I’m certain this isn’t going to be the only Fenix I’ll be buying for myself either!

Great product, great service - I like the free batteries supplied; there’s nothing worse than a new toy with no batteries, whether you’re 4 or nearly 40 years old :)

Dear Doc,

order arrived safely today. You asked what I thought. Your service:
excellent. Lighting performance: significantly exceeds expectations
(particularly the Cree LED) as does build quality (in terms of e.g. £ vs.
SureFire), while the free accessories that other makers don’t include (spare
o-rings, holster, lanyard etc) are a nice touch. Two feedback thoughts for
those nice people at Fenix tho’:

- neither the L1T nor the P1D CE is anti-roll despite the machined flat sides
because these are smaller in diameter than the round head and tail ends

- the four-way flat tail of the P1 makes a better ’candle’ base than the
L1’s, whose rubber switch sticks out just enough to make it wobble a little
bit when upright.

I wanted both tho’ because the L1 has battery commonality with stuff in my
vehicle (GPS etc) and the AA battery is readily found, and the P1 for
performance and battery commonality with my SureFire.

If Fenix would like to mod the L1T to take a P1DCE milled head and base, I’ll
happily review one for them!

Overall: very happy.

Hi Doc,
Well, many thanks for the torch which arrived safe and sound the next day.
Having played with it for almost a week I’m letting you have my thoughts as promised.
First impressions - what a cutie! It was indeed the size of my thumb (how did you know??) It looked well made and well finished. The first thing I tried was looking into the beam. An hour later, my eyesight was almost back to normal. This thing is BRIGHT!

I tried all the modes and found primary was plenty bright enough for most tasks - it’s unlikely you’ll need the bright setting as the output may be almost twice as much, that won’t be translated into your perception. The dim mode is excellent for most close-quarters tasks, like finding those keys you dropped. I will be trying it out "in the field" at at Glasto this year (hopefully), but roaming around the garden at night after a few bevvies with this torch makes me think it’ll be well up to the task of finding a tent at 2am. It’ll be interesting to see how much light I need, so I’ll have one or two spare batteries in case.

The strobe and SOS functions worked fine, but I can’t ever see them me using them, so I’ll leave it to others to comment more.

Quibbles: just two. If the thing is switched off by about a quarter turn then pressing gently on the head will cause it to come on again which may be an issue if you packed it away somewhere (why aren’t you carrying it with you at all times??) Give it a full half turn and this won’t be an issue. Which brings me to my other quibble. the internal structure exposed by turning the head to switch on and off is not anodised the same as the outer body, so there’s a thin silver ring visible against the black which I think is a shame. Picky? You bet, but if that’s all I can moan about then you can see I rate the torch pretty damn highly.

Conclusion: Whenever I went out I’d always have on me four things: the clothes I wore, keys, phone, wallet. The Fenix P1D-CE now makes it five.

Bit of feedback for you. I bought the cyba lite 5w luxeon from you the other day. Torch is excellent, beam is bright and direct. strange to get used to at first because it’s so white!! hope it snows this winter because i think the effect will be fantstic when using it in those kind of conditions.I didn’t realise you got a case with it, so that was a nice bonus too, also, it doubles up as a nice baton should anybody be stupid enough to have a go at me whilst i’m out on an evening with my now even scarier ( due to recent dangerous dog media) Akita.

It kept flickering at first, which was a bit of a worry but that seems to have stopped now, maybe it just needed breaking in. it’s solid now constantly. Delivery was spot on too, although it was sent 48hr it came next day at 9 30. you just can’t beat that kind of service, it took less than a day from ordering. nice one. At the risk of being boring - thanks for further excellent customer service - you dealt with my website/paypal confusion over the phone immediately and in less than 24hrs the LED Lenser torch and Micro LED Camping Lantern arrived.

Thanks also for the special offer / free postage deal which you honoured - I have set up an account now and received a further £5 voucher for the next time I visit. You are going to have to watch those profit margins or the kids will have to go to School with no shoes if you keep giving such good deals.

Thought I would drop you a line to say how impressed I am with GlowGadgets. I ordered a 5 Watt Cyba-Lite from you on Friday, and the torch arrived first thing on Saturday morning just as you said it would.

What an amazing torch – with a brand new set of 4 x C cell Alkaline batteries it knocks spots of my 3 x D cell Krypton torch. The Krypton torch can only just manage to illuminate the fence at the end of our garden in a yellow light, whereas the Cyba-Lite floodlights the whole garden in a pure-white light.

I will definitely be recommending GlowGadgets and the Cyba-Lite to my friends.

Thanks for your advice on the torch (Led Lenser V Square - 7736),got it this morning and it certainly lives up to the description you gave me on the phone! It’s a great piece of kit ideal for patrol work, and so much better than the equivalent sized maglite.

I’m looking forward to seeing how battery life performs over the coming weeks of long dark nights but being LED I’m sure it will be streets ahead of bulb torches.

Hey doc! Got my laserpod yesterday but decided to test it out fully before sending you an email ;) Went out for a few drinks and brought the room mates and girl back and we were all majorly impressed wth the laserpod... when it was projecting on the roof i was in
