Hi Doc,
Thanks for your advice on the torch (Led Lenser V Square - 7736),got it this morning and it certainly lives up to the description you gave me on the phone! It's a great piece of kit ideal for patrol work, and so much better than the equivalent sized maglite.

I'm looking forward to seeing how battery life performs over the coming weeks of long dark nights but being LED I'm sure it will be streets ahead of bulb torches.
