The Leatherman Micra is not the smallest tool in my EDC Armoury, though it does have some of the smallest tools within it.
I had a Leatherman Micra about 10 years ago, it lasted me all of a month. I put it down and never saw it again. Those where the days when I tended to lose things on a regular basis, I will not go in to that here, but anyone who knows me, knows.
Anywho, I decided to get me another one and I am so pleased I did.
The reason why, is that the way it's made is just stunningly simple, clean and efficient. Everything works from the tiny Screwdriver that I use for tightening up my glasses, to the very sharp and strong sissors that cut nails, nose hair and bits of string with ease.
Just be Warned - When you get one of these, you tend to use it so much you will wonder how you got through life without it, then the time will come when you need to take a flight on an aeroplane and forget all about it. Until the Metal Detector goes off and you find yourself Sans Micra.
It's heartbreaking, just remember I warned you.
What the Manufacturer Says:
Scissors instead of pliers in the smallest Leatherman® ever! That's just the start of what makes the Micra™ so great. Whether price, size or weight is the primary concern, the Micra™ supplies an incredible level of usefulness, including personal care features like tweezers and a nail file.
Add a knife, three screwdrivers and more to the strongest, most useful scissors found on any multi-tool or pocket knife, and you've got a winning combination anyone would be glad to have in a purse, on a key chain or in a pocket.
No sheath is needed - just attach the Micra™ to a lanyard or key ring. Perfect for a pocket or purse.

Steel Characteristics
Leatherman® tools are made from 100% stainless steel to provide years of dependable service. Each 400-series stainless implement is heat treated to optimal hardness for its function. For example, our knives and files are typically tempered to Rockwell C 57 to achieve excellent edge retention. Our plier jaws and most screwdrivers have a Rockwell C hardness of 49-53 for better durability.
Quality Standards
How is Leatherman® better quality than the rest? Look at the sharp corners on our screwdrivers, built to ANSI specifications for strength and dimensions (which we verify with a laser micrometer). We regularly torture test our plier jaws; they are finished and riveted so precisely you can cut paper with the wire cutters. Even non-functional cosmetic flaws no bigger than a speck of pepper are not acceptable in any of the numerous inspections each tool must pass.
